Soil is alive, ancient, and essential — and much more. In this one-day workshop for adults, we will delve into soil through science and art. What to expect: Morning: Lecture on the natural history of soil, the organisms living in it, and the changing climate.Afternoon: Soil observation outdoors. Indoor workshop, where observations are processed on paper using soil and other natural materials.Throughout the day, we will have conversations, questions, and reflection together.No prior experience is needed. Come curious! The instructor and lecturer is Australian artist Ellenor Rose Nish, who has a background in biology. The workshop is part of the international SOILSCAPE project, and it will travel to different locations in Finland.
